Frequently Asked Questions...
1. Is it SCARY?
Uh, YEAH...it's a haunted house!! The way I see it, you're paying me to scare you and I'm gonna do everything in my power to make sure I get it done!
Let's get it straight, I'm running a haunted house, not a school fall festival, or a church trying to teach you life lessons. Those people are good at what they do, and I'm good at scaring people, PERIOD.
2. Can the Actors touch me?
We have a no contact rule with our actors/monsters. They are not to touch their prey, I mean customers. From time to time accidents happen because of low lighting and close proximity but any contact is unintentional and purely accidental.
3. What should I wear?
It is during the month of October, so we recommend a light jacket and close toed shoes for your safety. There are places in the haunt where you MAY get slightly damp or encounter some uneven terrain.
4. Can I help out with The Blackness Haunted House?
Sure!! You must be at least 16yrs. of age. All positions available are on a VOLUNTEER basis. We need help with set building and acting. During Haunt nights, we ask that you arrive about an hour or so ahead of time so that we can get you into make up. Make-up and costuming are provided with some allowances if you want to wear your own. Keep in touch with us on our Facebook page and we'll let you know how you can. Follow the link at the top of the page to get you there.
5. What happens if I hit one of the actors or damage parts of the haunt?
Officers/security escort you off the property and you will not be allowed to return. We also reserve the right to press charges or deny entry to anyone at anytime.
6. What happens if I can't make it all the way through?
We have emergency exits through out the haunt. You may leave through one at anytime you feel it gets too intense. There ARE NO REFUNDS IF YOU DON'T MAKE IT ALL THE WAY THROUGH!!!
7. How old do I have to be to attend?
We recommend ages 12 and up. We have a lot of adults who don't make it through, so we think 12 is a minimum age for coping with what you're about to endure. Of course, if you have younger children, it's ultimately up to you.
8. How much does a ticket/wristband cost?
One time ticket costs $10 to each main attraction. You can also buy a combo ticket to all four attractions that save $8 off the individual prices. A combo pass is $20 and includes one time entry to all the attractions. We change tickets and they are numbered so you can't re-use them multiple times.
9. Do you take Credit/Debit cards?
Our ticket booth accepts cash, CashApp and Venmo
10. Are there any restrictions for attending?
Our haunt uses flashing lights and depictions of realistic, violent imagery. We suggest that people suffering from heart problems, asthma or prone to seizures not attend. Strobe lights and heavy fog are used throughout the haunt. The Blackness Haunted House reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove from property, anyone behaving in a violent or disruptive manner or under the influence of any drugs and/or alcohol. No refunds will be given.
GOOD LUCK!!!
